At Matutine we create designs that transcend time. Below, find our signature tips on how you can help them stay in your wardrobe longer.

COTTONS (a.e. Maya shirt, Josephine skirt, Amelie dress)

  • Before washing, fasten all buttons or zip the garment
  • Use a delicate cycle and set the temperature to 30’C
  • Use detergents free from bleach, surfactants, anionic phosphates, and dyes
  • Avoid scrubbing stains vigorously or applying detergent directly at fabric. For tough stains consider professional dry cleaning
  • After washing, gently shake the garment and hang it to dry on a hanger, avoid over-drying to make ironing easier
  • Slightly stretch the seams and start ironing.
  • Natural fibers can wrinkle easily so we recommend storing your garment hanging on a hanger in your wardrobe

SILKS (a.e Alba gown, Grace dress, Mathilde dress)

  • Silk is a delicate and highly valued material, we use silk chiffon, silk satin, silk crepe in our collections, and we recommend dry cleaning it only.
  • For major stains request to clean gently with hydrocarbons
  • Request to protect buttons and zips before cleaning
  • When ironing, do so on reverse side at temperatures up to 110’C without steam
  • Be careful with bags and accessories as they may catch on delicate fabric
